- Stop Hypnotizing Me, Villainous Princess!

"What is this place?" Luo Yi surveyed his surroundings, his face a mask of bewilderment. Just as the cold, dark power vanished and he was about to take a deep breath, a sudden blinding white light enveloped him. When the light faded, he found himself here. He stood in a narrow, secluded alleyway. On either side were low buildings made of stone and wood, their style unfamiliar and peculiar to him. Luo Yi walked along the narrow path, hoping to get a sense of where he was, as the alley offered no clues. "This is..." As he emerged from the alley, a small town full of exotic charm unfolded before his eyes. The foreignness of the town was not only in its architecture but also in the people on the streets. The attire of the passersby was a colorful spectacle—some wore heavy armor, others donned light leather gear, and some flaunted elaborate robes, yet most were clad in simple linen clothing. After exploring the street, Luo Yi concluded that this place was definitely not his familiar world. He hadn't seen any signs of modern technology—not a single reminder of Earth in sight, which was unthinkable. This realization filled him with unease, as arriving alone in an unknown world naturally stirs anxiety. Yet alongside his unease came a surge of curiosity about this strange world, a curiosity quickly overshadowed by a gnawing hunger. This hunger urged Luo Yi to prioritize survival over exploring this world. Fortunately, this was not a wilderness, making Luo Yi confident about his prospects—if he was willing to work hard, finding a job to earn his keep should not be too difficult. He scanned his surroundings and soon found himself at a tavern, drawn by a help-wanted sign outside. Despite not recognizing the script, he could understand the message, assuring him that communication wouldn't be an issue here. "A customer, please come in!" A smiling attendant greeted Luo Yi as he entered the tavern. "I'm here for the job," Luo Yi quickly clarified. "Oh, job applicants go over there." The attendant's smile faded as he pointed to a man at the counter. "Thank you!" Luo Yi nodded and walked towards the indicated spot, taking in the tavern's decor, a style he'd never seen but found distinctly charming. "Here for the job?" The man at the counter stood up, making a curious gesture that puzzled Luo Yi. "You're not a follower of the Wine God?" The man's brows furrowed when Luo Yi didn’t respond. "Huh?" Luo Yi was momentarily speechless. What did applying for a job have to do with being a follower of some Wine God? Then he remembered that the ad mentioned hiring a bartender. "I'm applying to be a server," Luo Yi quickly replied. "Oh, so you're a server deity’s follower." The man nodded. "Server deity?" Luo Yi scratched his head. What kind of deity was that? "Not a follower of the server deity?" The man's surprise turned to coldness. "If you're neither a follower of the Wine God nor the server deity, then why are you here? Out!" Before Luo Yi could explain, he was unceremoniously shown the door. Standing outside, Luo Yi felt a wave of frustration. He just wanted a simple server job—what did any deity have to do with it? Deciding to try elsewhere, Luo Yi soon faced the same issue. Every place asked first if he was a follower of some deity, and without being one, he was turned away, even if he offered to work just for food. "Why does everyone in this world constantly talk about deities? Do they really exist here?" As someone from the modern world, Luo Yi was skeptical of such beliefs. "Grrr..." With no job and not a penny to his name, Luo Yi aimlessly wandered the streets until the aroma of bread caught his attention, making his stomach protest loudly. "What’s happening over there?" Following the scent, Luo Yi saw a long line in front of a pure white building at the town’s center. At the front, several people in odd attire were distributing bread to those in line. "That’s the Church of Light and Justice handing out free bread," a passerby informed him when Luo Yi inquired. "Free!" Luo Yi's spirits lifted, knowing at least his hunger could be sated. He queued up, and after some time, an elderly man with white hair handed him two loaves, saying, "Young man, this is the grace of the God of Light and Justice." "Praise the God of Light and Justice!" Luo Yi echoed the previous receiver’s words as he took the bread. While he didn’t truly believe in deities, their free food had effectively resolved his biggest problem, so he felt grateful—even if just as a gesture—toward this possibly existent God of Light and Justice. With bread in hand, Luo Yi left the Church of Light and Justice. The day was waning, and having solved his food dilemma, another challenge awaited him—finding shelter. Luo Yi had no money for an inn, but he remembered an abandoned building outside town he had come across before. Despite its state, it could at least shield him from the elements, so he decided to spend the night there. "Is anyone here?" Luo Yi called from outside the derelict structure. It seemed a place like this would attract other homeless people, so to avoid any misunderstandings, he thought it wise to announce his presence.
