Volume 5 Chapter 0068: Star Spirit Lifeforms, the Vision of Civilization - I, The Dragon Overlord
The entirety of the Terran civilization is now under Louie's control, so he's in no rush. He begins methodically browsing the technological tree of this advanced civilization. "Artificial Intelligence, gather all the cutting-edge scientific achievements and research projects from the Terran civilization for me." Louie commands the highly intelligent life form he has named 'Artificial Intelligence', and immediately, a wealth of knowledge floods into his mind, received by his divine essence. Because the 'Slate of Destiny' has other functions, Louie transfers the effects of this 'civilizational meme' to his divine essence. His future goal is to use the technological achievements represented by the 'civilizational meme' to control the gods and manipulate technological computations with the results of divine beings represented by the 'divine essence'. Various technologies from the Terran civilization, accumulated over countless generations, are arranged in Louie's mind, spanning all fields. Many are already realized technological achievements, with the pinnacle being the 'space-time wormhole' device—an invention capable of transforming the essence of the Terran civilization. Beneath this 'space-time wormhole' branch, there are several strategic outlines. These are the Terrans' hypothetical measures and responses to potential enemies after discovering they can open channels to different universes. The Terrans had anticipated that the worlds or civilizations they might encounter could be entirely different in their development from their own. Some strategies even considered emergency measures if they entered worlds where mathematical algorithms and physical laws differed from the current universe. One must acknowledge the foresight of the Terrans, but theories remain theories—they require testing and practice to be refined and updated. Who would have thought that the Terrans would be so unlucky, facing total annihilation after encountering the first foreign universe civilization, leaving no chance for their strategic outlines to be revised? Louie quiets his mind in mourning once more, continuing to peruse the Terran research. Beyond the completed research, there are also some hypotheses and conjectures. Among them, Louie finds something intriguing in the field of life form research. "About the hypothetical structure of planetary consciousness and stellar spirits?" Louie is instantly intrigued. Earth has the 'Gaia Hypothesis', proposing that planets have their own consciousness. However, Terrans have disproven this through extensive practice, showing that planets are merely aggregations of matter without their own intelligence. Yet, because the Terrans have advanced technology, they even considered directly bestowing a planet with consciousness, thus creating the concept of a 'stellar spirit'. This idea emerged after the Terrans discovered the world of San Soliel, where souls were proven to exist and be manipulated. If a planet does not possess its own consciousness, could a soul be forcibly injected into it to generate intelligence, transforming it into a communicable life form? If such a life form existed, the planet would be its body. Could it then control some of its own structural aspects, thereby naturally altering its environment without external modification? If a planet were wholly transformed into a weapon and endowed with intelligence, what kind of efficiency would such a weapon have? If a civilization living on a planetary body were discovered in a foreign universe, could their home planet be forcefully granted consciousness, thereby instantly causing that civilization's extinction? Numerous ingenious ideas were proposed by the Terrans. Although they had already converted planets into weapons using signal control, the idea of turning a planet into a weapon through consciousness endowment had yet to be tested. Louie's interest is piqued. Such occurrences do exist in the world of San Soliel; however, the most they can do is bestow constructs with souls and wisdom, differing entirely from artificial intelligence as these constructs are genuine life forms. But constructs cannot compare to a planet's size, as the concept of planets does not exist in San Soliel. "Interesting, interesting. However, according to my calculations, the Terran civilization can't achieve this. Souls and the technological advancement of Terrans are leagues apart. By the time Terrans fully understand souls, who knows how long that future will be." "...In San Soliel, modifying a planet with magical technology is nearly impossible, as planets are too vast for wizards to conceptualize. However, combining both technologies could significantly increase the feasibility of this research. Broadening the thought, if a planet can be endowed with a soul and consciousness, could a plane also be treated similarly to create plane life forms? Hmm, the Abyssal consciousness might actually be a type of plane life form!" Louie sits up straight, pondering that if planets in this vast universe, by the trillions, could be transformed into living beings, would it mean creating a great new race? Besides planets, the universe contains other celestial bodies like stars. Imagining them all brought to life is quite thrilling. For the time being, Louie suppresses these ambitions, considering it best to pursue them once he becomes a god above gods. He shifts focus to the Terran ideas on creating life forms, where indeed he finds many wondrous concepts, such as imaginary life, quantum life fixed states, and more. Louie begins considering the nature of a civilization race he intends to create. Since all Terrans have perished, he lacks interest in recreating their race, and as a dragon, he finds a civilization of dragons too monotonous. "Perhaps I can create elves, angels, dragons, and even goblins, gnomes, and similar races, as well as the stellar spirits, imaginary, quantum life forms recently imagined, constructing a multi-racial civilization. The basic structure of this civilization could be designed in line with Terran notions, including reverence for nature and non-modification. Since the Terrans developed such a great civilization, their civilizational structure must be correct." This is Louie's vision of a near-magic technological civilization. Of course, these races won't be the same as those in San Soliel; for instance, dragons' greed and slumber, elves' arrogance and reverence for arts. These traits are acceptable in San Soliel, but might be counterproductive when forming a race to develop a technological civilization. So Louie's plan is to use the Terran social and thought model as a template to create a multi-formed race, representing his vision. Elves might no longer be prideful, nor dragons covetous. Although differing in appearance, their inner cores and lifestyle would be identical, and that is civilization! In earthly terms, it’s akin to Chinese civilization being composed of different ethnicities, yet these ethnicities' action templates are all Chinese civilization. This foundational idea forms in Louie's mind. Once he achieves godhood above gods, he can put it into action. But for now, it's time to undertake the first step of his plan. Under Louie's direction, with the help of the Artificial Intelligence, fleets of spacecraft are manufactured from various Terran factories. Subsequently, using Terran spatial technology, the space containing all the warships is compressed together, enabling a single transport ship to carry thousands of warships. Thus begins the play where Louie orchestrates both sides!
