Volume 5 Chapter 0072 God's Thoughts - I, The Dragon Overlord

In the 'Sleeping Dragon Temple,' Louie rested his chin in his hand, watching with disinterest as the demigod lich and the angel of dawn knelt before him. After resolving the issues in Desnot City, Patricia and Tanarra came to Louie’s divine kingdom as he summoned them. Tanarra, the angel, had come to seek Louie's patronage, while the demigod lich harbored ambitions of apotheosis that she hoped Louie could fulfill. Honestly, Louie no longer felt the initial excitement and longing for female beings. If anything remained, it was the instinctive genetic drive as a dragon. He did not suppress this dragon instinct but chose to preserve it in its entirety. With his ascension to godhood, the allure of women had significantly diminished, especially after Louie gained full control of the Terran civilization. With such an advanced technological civilization as his backing and his status as a powerful deity, Louie could create new life as he pleased. He could even craft artificial maidens, embodying his perfect fantasies, to entertain himself. However, such creations were not the creation of races. Even if Louie fashioned a being resembling an angel with wings, it would lack the soul of a true angel. In the world of San Soliel, creating a new race required the sanction of the World Force. Such purely beautiful self-created beings were akin to mere dolls for Louie, who, as a deity, had no need to resolve desires through these playthings. Thus, only exceptional entities or a woman’s distinct personality or status could captivate him. Regarding demigod lich Patricia and demigod angel Tanarra, Louie was more interested in their unique traits than in any superficial beauty. The lich was a singular being, possessing life characteristics despite her undead nature, while the angel was a rare sight in the world that would help fulfill Louie's dream of creating a new race. These unique aspects, rather than sexual desire, piqued Louie's interest. If a peasant woman stood before Louie, no matter how beautiful, she would likely fail to draw his interest. His existence had transcended mortal trivialities. Because Patricia and Tanarra understood Louie's divine perspective, they felt anxious. They knew the deity before them sought neither their beauty nor their bodies, nor merely lustful pursuits. Their advantage as females diminished significantly. Even if Louie commanded the offering of their bodies, they would regard it as a duty rather than feel humiliation or resentment. This was the aura Louie exuded now. Even when directly demanding someone to satisfy his desires, there was no vulgarity, only a sense of being chosen to serve the divine. “So let us commence, Patricia and Tanarra. Offer everything you have to help me create a new race. This is your task.” Louie, seated upon his divine throne, issued his command in a calm, unwavering voice. In this sacred and majestic hall, both Patricia and Tanarra's bodies trembled with respect, anticipation, and a bit of anxiety. Shame was an emotion that could not deny a god. They exchanged a glance before prostrating themselves, responding, “...Yes, great Dragon God!” Luxurious black robes and pure white gowns descended to the ground. Within this sacred hall, the two demigods devoted themselves fully to a genuine deity. Louie observed their bodies—Patricia's form, which should have been desiccated, was pale yet imbued with a rare vitality, while the angel was wondrously dual-natured. Even naked, she bordered on saintly and seductive—innocent as a goddess of justice, luminous, yet alluring as a lady of the night, secretive and sensual. Louie rose from his throne and slowly descended the stairs, towering over the two demigods ready to fulfill his desire to create new life. Around the hall, his human and elf female petitioners danced gracefully encircling them; even the female dragons, swaying their tails, watched their revered god with the singular desire known only to dragons. With a dragon's roar, Louie transformed from human to his draconic form. His massive, sharp claws seized Tanarra's wings. Her face showed a flicker of pain, yet she maintained her respectful demeanor, her heart akin to a prayerful offering of everything she had. “May you add a new race to the dragons and grant me new offspring.” Louie whispered softly. ... As Louie engaged in creating new life, his other incarnation was preparing in the Astral Sea, secretly concealing the various universe-class battleships brought from Earth's universe into the spatial layers of his domain and seeking a 'target.' “The 'target' deity mustn't be too weak nor too strong, ideally between lesser to intermediate divine power, and most importantly, I must be able to trace their presence.” Louie pondered in the vast, boundless Astral Sea. Most divine avatars preferred to hide their whereabouts, making them hard to locate; moreover, Louie lacked divinities like 'Tracking,' and he dared not use divine power for a direct search. When dealing with the Spider Queen Lolth, Louie could proceed boldly because his motives were vengeful, but this time Louie intended to play the shadowy mastermind. If a god's avatar was located and then abruptly attacked by 'extraterritorial technology,' it would blatantly hint that this technology was linked to him. Thus, Louie opted for more primitive means to find his desired divine target. “Is that... the Goddess of Peace? Oh, she advocates peace; I rather like her—let's not harm her... The God of Chanting? His divinity is too minor, unsuitable as a target.” “...The Goddess of Misfortune? Hmm, now that's a promising option.” Louie searched as thoroughly as he could. Ideally, the target would be the Goddess of Magic, but finding one of her incarnations without using extraordinary divine power was challenging. Eventually, Louie shifted his focus to the Goddess of Misfortune. This goddess, often avoided by other gods due to her dominion over misfortune, was solitary, and her followers were shunned. When she traveled across the land, she never concealed her avatar, and her divine rank approached intermediate power, fitting Louie’s selection criteria. “Fine, if a better target remains elusive, then let the Goddess of Misfortune taste misfortune for once... Though for her, it may just be a fright.” With a resolved plan, Louie decisively activated the 'Space-Time Wormhole' and ordered his universe warships hidden within the void to launch a lethal strike!
