Volume 5 Chapter 0111 It’s time to reveal your true colors! - I, The Dragon Overlord
When Louie Galakrond's 'Order Godhood' reached level 20, an unexpected pain struck his body. The bit of 'Earth Divinity' he had seized from the Earth Goddess was abruptly torn away. At the same moment, the Earth Goddess ascended directly to godhood level 20, signified by her star instantly soaring above all the gods. This position was unprecedented in the Saint Soliel world for millions of years. The former Prince of Lies had only forcefully pushed his godhood to this height, but this time the Earth Goddess did not force her way; she truly became a deity of godhood level 20. The original force of the entire world trembled, as if welcoming the return of its master, eager to thrust her to the rank of Supreme God. "Cackle, cackle, cackle... Your luck is quite unfavorable, Sir Louie," said Asmodeus with a sly bow, his expression full of confidence, "as a god has reached godhood level 20 right at this time. Before confronting me, it seems you'd first need to deal with another god pressing upon you!" "...However, rest assured, this situation won't last long. I won't allow a deity to reach godhood 20 and give that Earth Goddess a chance to ascend to Supreme God. I will accelerate the clash between 'Good' and 'Evil.' You bear a grudge against that Earth Goddess, don't you? The only thing I can promise is that after I become Supreme God, I will kill her to give you company!" Louie, withdrawing his gaze from the stars, coldly addressed the Devil King before him: "Overconfidence turns into arrogance, Asmodeus. You've become blinded by your own power. You should emulate your old self and remain humble." "Humility was necessary because I lacked certainty, but with victory in sight, even devils become brazen. A million years have passed, a million years of waiting for this moment; how could I not be joyful, not be thrilled?" "...It seems your luck has run dry. A god who achieved such accomplishments in a short span is as rare as the Prince of Lies, whose fate you ended. Now, your fate will be ended by me." "Destiny is indeed wondrous; it shaped you and delivered you to me, as if all of this was chosen for me," continued Asmodeus, with a voice resembling an ode, resembling more a preacher of destiny than a devil. "Why wouldn't you think that destiny has actually sent you to me, Asmodeus..." Louie ridiculed. "No need for wordplay, great Dragon God. Your predicament is evident, while my path is clear. Don't waste your time here; you should first consider how to face that Earth Goddess. Although she hasn't achieved Supreme God power, having an adversary above you must be hard to swallow for someone as proud as you." Asmodeus raised his hellish scepter, adorned with a colossal ruby, pointing it at Louie. "Having gained enough, becoming part of the Order Serpent, may you feel the might of order in these final moments," said Asmodeus as he unleashed the hellfire upon Louie. Louie did not resist. Though he was also a god of level 20, it was his true form, and the avatar in the infernal Naetheris held only the godhood of nine. Facing an attack from a virtual godhood 20 archdevil, this avatar could not prevail. Yet, he wouldn't allow Asmodeus to act recklessly. Knowing time was of the essence, he unleashed all divine power of his avatar; with an earth-shattering explosion, his form self-destructed. The overflowing divine power extinguished Asmodeus's hellish flames and shattered part of Naetheris Fortress. When the divine shockwave dissipated, Asmodeus stood, unscathed, in the ruins. The Devil King shook his head, saying, "For a million years, you're the first to break my fortress. But such trivial matters do not concern me." The Devil King, gazing into the Abyss, displayed a cunning expression, "Since Order has been fully restored, those devils can withdraw. It's time to engage that old rival, even if just briefly aligning the Abyssal Will with mine, to let 'Evil' outpace 'Good,' allowing me to fully incorporate the Order Serpent..." ... Within the 'Realm of Order,' Louie’s true form opened his eyes, his dragon pupils serene, devoid of Asmodeus's perceived arrogance or panic. "In just over a year, Shantia successfully communicated with those deities, exchanged for the needed divinities, and completed her puzzle." The divinity Louie once seized was minimal yet crucial, stalling the Earth Goddess. However, now that Shantia had gathered all necessary power, that bit of divinity was forcibly torn from Louie by the rules, letting her surge to godhood level 20. Shantia’s negotiation with other gods could not escape their attention, yet none intervened. Louie knew he played a part in it. By using 'Terran civilization' to intimidate the gods, they turned a blind eye to Shantia’s actions. Whether any regretted it now was unknown, but it was too late. The Earth Goddess had completed her puzzle, and now only Louie and Asmodeus remained capable of confronting her. The world of Saint Soliel now found itself in contest between the three gods; whoever triumphed would ascend to Supreme God. While primordial Earth Power lacked against Order Force, if Shantia reached Supreme God first, she could eradicate Louie and Asmodeus, denying them any chance to ascend, and vice versa. Supreme Godhood holds the power of infinite force. Even the Terran civilization facing a Supreme God would be like an ant against a wheel, futile in battle unless its technology experienced another burst. "Now it's time to reveal the final cards." Louie extended his dragon claw, revealing a stone tablet—the 'Slate of Destiny.' The true form of the Slate resides within the 'Pantheon,' and in Louie’s claw lay the backup key, the control center.
