Volume 5 Chapter 0118 My divine power is endless! - I, The Dragon Overlord
The terrifying divine power emanated from Louie, and the hissing of the Serpent of Order reverberated through the supreme temple. The stars shone brightly, their light cascading over Louie's body, making the serpent, as vast as the boundless universe, seem even more grandiose. Its infinite form coiled, as though ready to devour the cosmos. With a casual gesture, Louie deflected the giant axe of the orcish chief god Gorrush, and soon after, the Terran god of war, Marzlis, joined the fray. This god of war, armored in silver, rode into battle on a warhorse within the Pantheon, charging toward the seated Louie as if the short distance between them was as vast as the stars apart. Only by mounting his steed could he harness his full prowess. Marzlis, possessing domains of warriors and warfare, was an exceptionally powerful deity. His astride posture was a precondition to unleashing his divine power. Wielding a greatsword with both hands, he raised it high, intending to slash at Louie. It was none other than the extraordinary divine power of "fierce momentum," usable only by those with the domains of war and destruction. In an instant, the entire pantheon echoed with the battle cries of a thousand armies. Though Marzlis stood alone, his presence was akin to that of a sovereign leading millions into battle, aiming to crush Louie with an unstoppable force. The menacing aura of warfare filled the pantheon, even causing a ripple in the fundamental war forces of San Soliel, indicating a loosening under its influence. Even the gods were awed by this warlike aura. Just as mortals become breathless under the presence of a dragon, so too were they stifled by this display of extraordinary divine power, "fierce momentum," which could intimidate without engaging in combat. The gods sighed in admiration, acknowledging Marzlis's status as a god of war and warriors. Despite a 16th-ranked divine status, his power in battle could rival those of 18th or 19th rank. Yet, in the face of the war god's roar, Louie remained composed. His right hand turned crystal clear as it filled with the forces of order. Just as he had done with the orcish god's axe, he met the war god's greatsword with his divine physique. "Boom—" The collision of hand and sword unleashed a powerful divine force storm, which swept across the walls and pillars of the pantheon. Fortunately, it was the Pantheon; elsewhere, such a collision could have flattened mountains and rent the land asunder. "Incomparable strength?! How is it possible?" The god of war prided himself on his unparalleled might, believing his pure strength rivaled only by his nemesis Gorrush and the god of strength. While Louie was a dragon, the gap in divine domains did not mirror that of mortals, precluding any natural advantage in strength in the realm of divinity. A dragon contending with a god of war in strength seemed improbable. Before, Louie's act of halting Gorrush's axe was a testament to sheer divine power. Stopping Marzlis’s greatsword, however, was a display of divine technique mastery. This was the extraordinary divine power of "unbeatable force," well-known to Marzlis as it was within his domain of strength, clearly indicating Louie had no such domain. Seeing Marzlis’s dismayed expression, Louie laughed lightly: "I may lack strength-related domains, but I possess order. In a world of order and chaos, all power, all domains, can be categorized as either. And ‘strength’ falls under the realm of order!" With that, Louie’s crystal-like hand transformed into a dragon's claw. With "unbeatable force," he struck Marzlis’s heavy armor with absolute conceptual speed, tearing it apart before Marzlis could react, sending him hurtling away. Marzlis’s body, like an arrow loosed from a bow, collided with a pillar with a thundering crash, shattering it to pieces, and the god of war was buried beneath the debris. “Hmph, you truly are the war god, surviving that blow.” Louie sensed Marzlis's presence, his armor saving him. In the Pantheon, the very thought of shattering pillars spoke to the terrifying power involved. Louie's prior, almost supernatural speed strike was an extraordinary divine power known as "absolute first strike." It was accessible to those with domains like war or theft. Under "absolute first strike," a deity's attack would reverse causality, making it the first move, no matter the enemy's speed, even against light-speed attacks or those from past or future. It rendered the foe’s purpose as a mere reaction. "Unbeatable force" ensured one's strength surpassed the opponent's, as defined by divine will, turning it into a conceptual attack. Against mortals, it granted victory, and should the target be a world, it could even shatter planets with pure force. To counter divine powers, only equal divine skill could do so. Thus do gods wage battle—not with myriad techniques, but through pure, conceptual and rule-based effects. Each god possesses limited extraordinary divine powers linked to their domains. And with divine power being enormously costly, they are reserved as ultimate weapons. Seeing Louie, unwearied after successive divine strikes, as if his power was limitless, left the gods in awe. "Indeed, this is the power of order. Initially, I suspected it was mere ‘dream’ or ‘illusion,’ but now it’s clear Louie… His Majesty holds the true power of the Serpent of Order!" The Dawn Goddess spoke gravely. Given Louie's domain of "dreams," and his conquest over the Prince of Lies, who held "illusion," these domains could create convincing illusions even to gods. At first, the displayed order power and the cosmos-encompassing serpent seemed like illusions. However, now, with Louie wielding divine abilities outside his domain, ancient gods like the Dawn Goddess had discerned the truth—Louie wielded true order! Illusions might fabricate an impression but could never generate divine power! Comprehending this truth, the Dawn Goddess altered her address from 'Prince Louie' to 'Majesty.' “Lord Gorrush, Lord Marzlis, opposing this Majesty with one or several gods is futile. He connects to the sea of order forces. Though he wields mere abilities of a 20th-ranked status, not yet supreme, he has transcended faith’s shackles—His divine power is inexhaustible!” The Dawn Goddess clutched her "Dawn Teller" weapon tightly, her expression of anguish and resignation, words weighted with despair. Being of lawful good, resisting Louie, who channels ‘lawful good’ order forces, posed a significant ordeal. More awe-inspiring and feared was this Majesty’s progression to an ancient god, liberated from faith’s constraints, merging with the sea of forces!
