[Volume 4]: Chapter 97 - A Sweet Girl Won’t Be Fooled By The Villainess

When Ifia happily approached with a bottle of wine, Amelia couldn't help but raise her hand to her forehead. A helpless smile played at the corner of her mouth as she knew this little one was up to her usual mischief. It seems the thief's heart is still alive! Nonetheless, Amelia wasn't angry. Instead, her eyes narrowed with a hint of amusement. Even though it hadn't even started yet, she already knew how it would end. Ifia would end up pouting with cheeks puffed in frustration, looking absolutely adorable. Perhaps due to her numerous experiences, Amelia remained remarkably calm. At times, she even considered allowing Ifia to have her way. After all, the excuse of being tipsy was a good one! Yet, thinking of Ifia's stubbornness, Amelia worried that it might backfire. Apart from that, with the influence of the vine of misfortune, she didn't want Ifia to get hurt. After the effects of the vine of misfortune had passed, if Ifia still wanted to "design" her, then she might consider going along with it. After all, she had already collected the materials to mend her broken soul. Once the mending was complete, she wouldn't have to worry about the world's rules hurting Ifia anymore, regardless of revealing her demonic identity. As someone she was very fond of, Amelia didn't want to hide anything from her on purpose. "Amelia, look! I found a lot of wine!" While Amelia was silently contemplating all this, completely unaware, Ifia, thinking she had fooled everyone, spoke, unable to contain the self-satisfied smile on her face, unwittingly revealing everything. Then, Ifia placed the bottle of wine on the table, opening it with great care and pouring the red liquid into the glasses. One for each of them. While pouring, being cunning as always, Ifia slyly poured herself a glass with a third less wine. Amelia could only smile wryly. What a little troublemaker! Despite having long seen through Ifia's ulterior motives, Amelia pretended not to know, quietly observing, curious about how things would unfold. It seemed Ifia wanted to get her drunk. However, Ifia seemed to have forgotten that her tolerance for alcohol was even worse. Just this glass with a third less wine was enough to make Ifia tipsy. Or maybe Ifia was just pretending and wouldn't actually drink? With these thoughts in mind, Amelia raised an eyebrow, her bright purple eyes filled with curiosity. In a relaxed state, she rested her chin on her hand, her lips curling gently upwards. Meeting Amelia's gaze, Ifia appeared unafraid, sweetly smiling as she said, "Amelia, let's celebrate the success of the auction! Drink up!" Unexpectedly, Ifia raised her glass and drank a large gulp in one go. It was truly heartbreaking. Amelia, who was initially looking forward to the spectacle, was momentarily stunned by Ifia actually drinking! Seeing this, Amelia sat up straight. While she was willing to play along with Ifia's "game," she still cautioned, "Ifia, take it slow. Drinking too quickly is bad for your health." And it makes you drunk faster. She couldn't figure out Ifia's current strategy. Amelia calmly raised her stemmed glass, placed it near her lips, and then elegantly downed the wine in one go. The movement was graceful, not crude. However, the full glass of wine disappeared swiftly. When Amelia set the glass down, it was completely empty. Seeing this, Ifia couldn't help but chuckle, looking like a cat that had sneaked a fish treat. She flashed a radiant smile, her sparkling black eyes forming crescents. Ifia had considered playing games with Amelia when she chose the wine. However, with just the two of them, it would be impossible. Her schemes would easily be exposed. So she employed a risky move! Given Amelia's considerate and gentle nature, Ifia used the pretext of celebrating the successful auction. She only needed to take a sip, and Amelia would surely drink more! And indeed, it turned out as Ifia had expected, even surpassing her predictions. A sip for a full glass. Worth it! Ifia, with a satisfied smile, looked at the empty glass and enthusiastically refilled it. Then, with a twinkle in her eye, she came up with a new reason to drink, “Besides the successful auction, to see Quilt faint out of anger is truly gratifying. Here, drink up!" Although this was Ifia's reason for pouring the wine, the sight of Quilt bleeding and unconscious did genuinely uplift her mood. Hence, when she picked up her glass again, she unintentionally took several more sips. Now, only half the wine was left in her glass. This bold move naturally left Amelia with no objection, as she elegantly raised her hand to drink the remaining wine in one go. While Ifia was very much looking forward to getting Amelia drunk, she wasn't human, after all. No matter how much wine she drank as a demon, it wouldn't affect her. Even if she drank all the alcohol in the room, it wouldn't faze her. Unfortunately for Ifia, the wine she chose had a high alcohol content. Therefore, despite only drinking half a glass, Ifia started to feel dizzy and disoriented, as if the world was spinning around her. This left Ifia baffled. She swayed her head gently, blinked, and turned to look at Amelia, only to see one Amelia turn into three in an instant. Ifia rubbed her eyes, and now there were even more Amelias! "Wh...why are there so many Amelias? Hehe, they're all mine!" All the persuasive reasons Ifia had prepared to encourage Amelia to drink were now useless, as she was quite drunk and unable to continue the charade. Meanwhile, Amelia couldn't help but chuckle, and taking advantage of Ifia's inebriation, she inquired, "Ifia, why are you drinking so much today? Don't you want to get Amelia drunk?" "Of course, I want to get Amelia drunk and then... haha, you know, I'm so clever. I had to use cunning tricks. Once I take a sip, Amelia will definitely drink more." Easily obtaining the answer she expected. It was not far from Amelia's initial anticipation. Seeing Ifia already tipsy, even though she hadn't eaten, having had plenty of snacks at the auction, she didn't have to worry about being hungry. Amelia decided to carry Ifia back to her room to rest. However, the intoxicated Ifia was clearly not easy to handle. When Amelia was about to stand up from her seat, Ifia, unsteady, preempted her and lunged forward like a tiger, burying herself in Amelia's embrace. Then, she raised her hands, wrapped them around Amelia's neck, and with no hesitation, planted a "smooch" on Amelia's cheek, before giggling like a little fool with a look of joy in her big eyes. Soon, as if remembering something, her happy expression vanished. Her lips downturned in a petulant pout as she said, "Amelia, let me complete my mission quickly. The system keeps urging me!"
