36 - The Bookworm’s Second Life
The Novel Reader's Redeemed Life - Chapter 36 > Web Novel Archive Sion slowly placed his hand on Lilith's chest. Her breasts, full and perky, fit perfectly in his palm, delivering a sensation so exquisite it almost felt wrong to put it into words. ‘Kim Yoo-hyun must have been impotent.’ The fact that he resisted such temptation from a woman like this led Sion to conclude that Yoo-hyun’s condition was far from normal. Even a monk would find it hard to resist a body like hers. “Ah!” As Sion teasingly grazed her chest with his lips, a sticky moan escaped from between Lilith's lips. She wanted him to move on, but Sion, mischievous as ever, only puckered his lips lightly, postponing further actions. “W-why are you doing this...?” Lilith, feeling restless beneath him, hoped he'd ease the tension that was consuming her, yet his constant teasing drove her mad. Part of her wanted to roar fiercely and issue a warning, but the situation was so desperate she couldn't muster the courage. Her breath hitched as Sion flicked his tongue against her nipple. However, he did not take it into his mouth, only playing with the ripe pink fruit with a delicate swirl of his tongue—enough to tease. “P-please... Sion, please...” Her voice was tinged with a desperation that was both heated and pained. With an earnest expression that looked ready to burst into tears, Lilith implored. She could no longer bear it and asked him to satiate her. Acknowledging, Sion nodded his head. “Ah! Ah! Hii!” With a slurp, taking in her breasts and nipples completely, Lilith's expression finally brightened. Her silvery hair spilled loosely over the bed, resembling a silver galaxy. Capturing that beautiful scene, Sion gently bit her nipple with his teeth. “Haaa! B-biting... that’s...” “Should I stop?” “N-no. I-it’s nice. Do it more... More, more...” Understanding her plea, Sion shifted to her other breast, exploring it with even more vigorous tongue play than before. “Hnnng... Ahh! Haaah!” Lilith squirmed, rubbing her thighs together in an attempt to alleviate the tension. Noticing this, Sion let his free hand wander down to her most intimate area. Though he had lavished it with attention moments ago, it seemed another flood had occurred in Lilith’s heated state. Pressing lightly against her, his fingers were met with an enticingly warm quiver. Lightly spreading her entrance with his middle finger and circling the sensitive area, Lilith’s eyes gradually turned unfocused and dazed. “N-not fingers... Something bigger... Something better, please...” Responding to her request, the man adjusted his position, meeting her gaze as he readied himself at her entrance. With a deliberate tease, he placed himself at her entrance, feeling her warmth envelope the very tip. Despite the ample lubrication provided by her own arousal, Sion held back, savouring the thrilling confines that instantly reacted to him, a tantalizing squeeze that nearly pushed him over the edge. “Please, put it in faster.” For Lilith, his teasing was tortuous. With her urging, Sion finally pushed further into her warmth, each movement eliciting new moans from her lips. And as he fully seated himself within her, a satisfied sigh escaped from Lilith. “Y-you know, Sion.” “Yes?” “T-to be honest... I was worried earlier.” “About what?” “When you were— Ugh! F-fighting that man.” It seemed she was referring to the spar with Ludwig. While gently moving his hips, Sion listened as Lilith murmured in a daze. “Without any magic... Ungh. I-I was scared you’d get hurt. Ahhh... I’m not sure why. Maybe because you’re my contractor? Haa. This is the first contract and the first time I’ve been with someone in my true form...” In response, Sion moved with greater intensity. Slap! “Ahh? Haaa! Ahhh!” “Don’t worry. As I’ve said, I don’t like pain, I don’t like getting hurt, and I definitely don’t want to die. Leaving behind such a beautiful lady would make me lament from the afterlife.” “E-even so! Oh! I can’t help but—! Hnnng!” Slap! Slap! Gaining momentum, as Sion thrust in and out, Lilith felt as though her very existence was melting away. For over a century, she had reigned as queen of the succubi, invading countless men’s dreams, ensnaring them in pleasure as she played with them. Now, here she was, beneath one man, overwhelmed by the tide of ecstasy crashing over her, reduced to a series of whimpering cries. Untapped emotions sprung to life within her, terrifying and new. Yet she didn’t wish to retreat. On the contrary, she wanted to move closer, wanting to delve deeper. This man, who she initially dismissed as just another power-hungry fool, intrigued her, drawing her in with his strangely compelling nature, making her want to stay by his side. “Hoo! Huff, huff!” “Ahhh! Hnggg... Hnnng!” Lilith’s searching hand on the bed found his, and with urgency, she intertwined their fingers together. Gripping her hand tightly, Sion focused on their shared desire, their punch lines blurred by the heat of the moment. Human, demon, noble, or succubus queen—none of that mattered right now. In this moment, they were simply a man and a woman, united by shared feelings, gazing deeply into each other’s eyes. And with a clear smile, they shared a kiss, reaching the peak of their togetherness. “Aaaaah!” “Huuuup!” It felt as if sparks flew and their vision was filled with flashes. Sion collapsed into Lilith's embrace, while she clung to him tightly, quivering from emotions and sensations she had never experienced before. “Aah, haaah…” It was a warm feeling, melting from a corner of her chest and spreading throughout her body. It was unfamiliar, but not unpleasant. In fact, Lilith wished it would last forever. "How do you feel now?" Sion asked, emerging from the haze of passion. In response, she replaced words with another deep kiss, conveying just how satisfying it was. Relieved by her reaction, Sion let out a sigh. Although he didn’t show it, he knew that if they went one more round in this state, he’d probably be unable to get out of bed the next day. “It feels good, more than anything.” “Why?” “Because we did it in that annoying guy’s house. Just imagining leaving a mark here with such a beautiful woman is amusing.” “Oh… I’ll erase any traces. Do you want anything left behind?” “Not really. It's just about psychological satisfaction,” Sion said with a chuckle, as he continued to stroke Lilith’s hair and cheek. They say that women derive as much pleasure and excitement from these post-intimate gestures as from the act itself. Lilith, hazily enjoying Sion’s touch, shut her eyes. A strong temptation to just fall asleep in his arms washed over her. If only this were the Clausen Margrave’s lands, she would have succumbed to that temptation. “We’re really just starting now,” Sion murmured to himself, catching Lilith’s attention. “What?” In response to her question, Sion gave a light smile and explained, “I mean living properly. My way, and how I want to.” --- “See you at the royal castle,” Marquis Volko said, as Sion addressed him. “Will you be attending as well, Marquis?” “I hadn’t planned on it, but it wouldn’t look good if I were absent when the son of Lichten made a significant achievement.” The Rödern family was a noble lineage that produced many military figures throughout the kingdom’s history. Volko Rödern himself had built a reputation for valor during past wars. It would be problematic to miss a ceremony celebrating a young noble’s war achievements. “...” Sion glanced around. Someone who should have been present was conspicuously absent. “My son didn’t come. It seems he’s quite displeased with you.” “I see.” “Don’t worry too much. Lichten and I shared a similar dynamic. Though we aren’t particularly friendly even now.” Volko’s farewell words suggested they would meet again at the upcoming royal party, which both Sion and Ludwig were set to attend. With that, the journey toward the royal city resumed. Nothing eventful happened during the trip, aside from the occasional curious glance from Lishe, the knight, who seemed suspicious of Sion. “Is there something wrong, Lishe?” Sion asked as he prepared to board the carriage, unable to ignore those peculiar looks any longer. Flustered, Lishe hesitated before cautiously whispering, “It’s just that, uh… Master, there’s a strange scent about you now…” “...?” Lishe laughed it off as if it wasn't a big deal, but Sion felt a chill creep up his spine. How could she possibly sense Lilith's scent? Even after he had showered thoroughly in the morning? ‘So she’s not just any ordinary knight, huh?’ Despite the absurdity of linking sniffing out women's scents with prowess in knightly skills, Sion couldn't help but marvel at her keen senses. “We’re approaching the royal city, my lord.” After hours of travel, they finally arrived at their destination—the royal city itself, far bigger and more grandiose than any noble estate could hope to compare to, and the sprawling palace situated on the hill beyond. This was where the story of Kim Yoo-hyun, now Sion, was truly set to begin. “What's our next plan?” Lishe asked as they alighted, to which Sion replied that they should head to the palace. Although the party hosted by the royal family hadn’t started yet, he needed to assess the situation and meet several characters residing within the palace. 'The king was effective as a ruler but weak in health. The prince had the potential to be great but was unfortunately swayed by those around him—when advised by the wise, he could be a wise king; when manipulated by the unscrupulous, a tyrant. And lastly…' He thought of the princess, who had both brilliance and a kind spirit but was ultimately undone by a tragic love. ‘That too was one of Kim Yoo-hyun’s messes.’ Lilith’s infatuation with him was manageable, as she had resolved to become an adversary if she couldn’t have him. But the princess was a different story. She longed to be with Kim, but her position as princess kept her from him. Her only remaining option was to make him stay with her, but Kim, in his oblivion, coldly rejected her advances. This rejection, alongside the corrupting temptations of external influences, led her to make one fateful mistake—a lapse that resulted in the massacre of the Hispania royal family. The princess, overwhelmed by her offense against her princely decorum, took her own life in remorse. ‘The dissolution of the royal line intensified the chaos and sped the collapse,’ Sion thought with a grim sense of history. Kim Yoo-hyun, clueless about it all, had merely placed a flower on the princess’s grave, wishing her peace and earning a reputation as a heartless villain. Subsequently, he was barraged by readers’ outrage and, as a result, the author took a week-long break from writing. ‘...Honestly, Kim Yoo-hyun is a little pitiable as well,’ Sion mused. Not just any noble lady, but a princess. Kim Yoo-hyun thought she would be happier marrying someone from a grand noble family rather than becoming involved with a mere swordsman like him. So, he treated the princess coldly and pushed her away, never considering that his actions might hurt her. ‘Should I give that guy a hand?’ He was a protagonist without a solid romantic lead until the latter part of the novel. Lucia was murdered, Lilith became an enemy, and the princess committed suicide. Other female characters retired, exited the story for various reasons, or weren't mentioned at all. Despite the abundance of women, it was an unfortunate romantic farce in progress. Feeling slightly guilty for having taken Lucia and Lilith right from the beginning, Sion decided to try and bring the princess and Kim Yoo-hyun closer to one another. Considering the novel's storyline, where the princess harbors affections for Kim Yoo-hyun from the start, it shouldn’t be too challenging. “We have confirmed your arrival from the Clausen Margrave. Welcome to the royal city.” Hmmm. Inside the royal city, Sion took a deep breath. The air felt different from that of the Clausen Margrave. There was a different scent here—a stench born of the political machinations and scheming within the court. ‘This is preferable.’ Sion smiled, thinking he was better suited to cutting through the deceitful tongues feigning loyalty rather than merely crossing swords with enemies. --- [Author’s Note] I admit that my ambition got the better of me in Chapter 30. The direction of the narrative diverged from what some readers hoped for, leading to disappointment, I'm sure. Constructive criticism is always welcome, and I am more than willing to incorporate it! I have made partial revisions to address issues with the informal dialogue style, but I do not plan to change the general atmosphere. This setting isn't meant for elegant exchanges—it’s about bluntly extracting what you want by any means necessary. I aimed to depict a negotiation table focused on taking everything with candid demands rather than sophisticated language. The character Sion Clausen was meant to be a brute, a villain, and a scoundrel from the start, after all. These are the thoughts I had while writing my lacking Chapter 30. I truly appreciate readers who take the time to read carefully and leave thoughtful comments. Regardless of the criticism, it shows a keen interest in this work. I look forward to your continued support, dear readers. So here’s a four-chapter release for you! (You wouldn’t leave me without recommendations after back-to-back releases yesterday and today, would you…?)
