102 - A Farewell to Mr. Luo

**Chapter 102** Bai Fan was in a daze when she heard the sound of a flute. Her previously exhausted body seemed to regain some strength, and she murmured the name of the person she thought might have arrived. "He Yi Man." The utterance of the name startled her—could she have come? Facing the encroaching Red-White Duo, Bai Fan coughed up blood and slowly retrieved a sword pill from her storage pouch. Although she had never nurtured this pill, she had imprinted it with her mark. With her left hand immobile, she could only hold the pill with her right hand. The milky-white sword pill emitted waves of cold air, and as Bai Fan forced it into her palm, a layer of frost formed on her right arm. As she infused the pill with spiritual energy, it gradually transformed into a white, milky sword, floating silently in front of her. She gripped the sword's hilt, fighting against the oppressive pressure that made others want to submit. She leaped into the air, recalling a scroll of sword techniques she had once seen in an underground palace. The delicate and agile sword stance caused the Red-White Duo to sneer. The distorted voices mocked her, "Such a weak sword. It seems you truly are out of strength." Ignoring their contorted faces, Bai Fan closed her eyes and repeatedly revisited the determined essence embedded in that jade slip. She focused intently on her swordsmanship, each movement resembling flower petals scattering in disarray. At this moment, Bai Fan appeared as a true sword cultivator, her unity with the sword allowing her to deftly evade the Duo's attacks. Frustrated, the Red-White Duo exclaimed, "This is just a desperate struggle." With that, they brandished their swords and engaged Bai Fan. The fight was intense and evenly matched. Meanwhile, the large man whom Bai Fan had knocked away earlier struggled to rise from the ground, revealing a dent in his chest from her blow. "Roar!" He bellowed at Bai Fan, like a defeated beast unwilling to concede, and charged at her with powerful strides. The vibration of his steps resonated as he leaped, intent on confronting Bai Fan mid-air. Sensing the man's approach, Bai Fan swiftly disappeared just as his fist was about to strike her back. The sudden disappearance left the man bewildered. The Red-White Duo's swords, following closely, also missed their mark. Their attacks only struck air. "Where is she?" The Duo scanned the surroundings, their spiritual senses extending to cover the entire formation. The large man also looked around anxiously, his sudden halt causing him to stumble back onto the ground. Then, he looked up in the air. Using the sword art, Bai Fan had inadvertently mastered a concealment technique. Her sudden vanishing act was a strategic move. When she reappeared in a corner, it took the Red-White Duo and the large man by surprise. Her sword pill grew larger, its blade extending and glowing brilliantly. "Old San, you block her retreat. I will deal with her," ordered the Red-White Duo. With that, one of them sped towards Bai Fan on a pair of crescent wheels, while the large man turned to approach her from behind. Bai Fan's brow didn't furrow once as she mentally directed the ten white swords to shoot forward, each trailing a long streak of white light with delicate petals intermittently appearing. She executed a few more hand seals, and bolts of lightning integrated into the sword blades, resembling a volley of thunder-striking swords from a distance. Outside the formation, He Yi Man stood, her brow furrowing as she faced the thick barrier. Hearing the intense battle within made her increasingly anxious. "Bai Fan, what exactly are you doing in there?" She began playing her flute, and a green sword appeared, drilling downward. The sword's spiraling motion exerted spiritual pressure on the barrier, causing green light to surge like an erupting spring, making He Yi Man's hair flutter in the wind. Inside the formation, Bai Fan's white swords held the Red-White Duo at bay. Fearful, they hesitated to advance. The dazzling white light whirled, filling the formation with the sound of swords ringing—a sign that Bai Fan had grasped the essence of sword intent. The Duo were momentarily shocked; just moments ago, she had barely reached the realm of sword transformation, yet now, in a life-or-death situation, she had comprehended sword intent. The ten white swords resisted the oppressive aura emanating from the Red-White Duo, alleviating the pressure that had previously weighed solely on Bai Fan. Her creaking bones finally stopped trembling. Intense fluctuations emanated from the swords, accompanied by the roaring sound of thunderclaps, reminiscent of falling lightning. "What kind of swordsmanship is this? I've never heard of it," the Red-White Duo exclaimed in surprise. Bai Fan didn’t bother to explain. The sword light was intense and grand, the immense sword intent permeating the formation, causing the spiritual energy within to surge violently, hinting at an imminent collapse of the barrier. "The formation is about to break. Old San, help me finish her off!" Weapons in hand, the Duo attacked Bai Fan. The large man, growling, leaped with a punch. In contrast to before, Bai Fan's eyes were cold: "I, Bai Fan, never respond the same way in identical situations." With that, she reached into the air, summoning a white sword. Lightning from her palm infused the blade as she turned to meet the large man's attack. Given his formidable physique, a raw power contest would have put Bai Fan at a disadvantage. But if he presented himself, she would let him taste the power of her sword pill. A white sword shot forth, and Bai Fan chased after it. Stepping on the trailing edge, she aimed with her injured left hand. The large man, misinterpreting her actions, prepared to clash head-on, his entire body tensed for an all-out strike. Just before their fists collided, Bai Fan abruptly vaulted, maneuvering behind him. She channeled spiritual energy through the white sword into his back, transforming it into countless fine blades piercing his heart. "Old San!" the Red-White Duo cried out in agitation. The fine blades infiltrated his heart like needles, rendering it riddled with holes. The large man's movement halted, his punch still halfway through. His chest exhibited numerous thin white blades piercing through, crimson blood tinged with a faint golden hue spurting out, momentarily stunning everyone. As his heart was shredded, his aura collapsed. The white sword pierced his abdomen, obliterating his golden core with a single twist. "Old San!" A male and female voice screamed in unison, filled with anguish. With one opponent down, Bai Fan glanced at the swords and crescent wheels flying towards her. She grabbed the dying large man and hurled him into the air. Seeing this, the Red-White Duo quickly retracted their weapons, narrowly avoiding the man's body. "I'll kill you to avenge Old San!" they shouted at Bai Fan. She commanded the ten white swords to press on, while the Duo's weapons flew towards her. As things seemed poised for mutual destruction, the surrounding barrier shattered. A small flag above was blasted into pieces. Bai Fan squinted as sunlight streamed in. A familiar silhouette entered her vision. Just as the weapons were about to strike Bai Fan, a green sword intercepted, its vibrant spiritual energy extinguishing the momentum of the attacking weapons. "You're here," Bai Fan exclaimed upon recognizing He Yi Man. He Yi Man, flute in hand, landed beside Bai Fan. Glancing at the weapons, she frowned, "Let's deal with them first. We'll talk afterward. I'll handle these two; you go after him." Bai Fan nodded and soared past the sword and crescent wheels, catching up to the Red-White Duo, who was engaged in a sweaty battle with her ten white swords. Seeing Bai Fan giving chase, the Red-White Duo was momentarily stunned and their expressions twisted in rage upon realizing she had backup. "Hmph, so you have help." "And you think you can have help but I can't?" Bai Fan retorted. With that, she merged her ten white swords into one enormous blade. The giant white sword shone brightly, and as it drew on the spiritual energy of the world, thunder roared. Lightning struck down from the sky, merging with the white sword. The power in the blade was so immense that even the ground trembled, its force derived from Bai Fan harnessing the power of nature. Seeing this, the Red-White Duo shuddered. The white sword shot towards them with blinding speed. Though they attempted to flee, they had barely taken two steps when the sword descended upon them. The figure in front of them was split in two in an instant. A male and a female voice shrieked as the sword not only cleaved their bodies but also obliterated their souls. In the blink of an eye, the once-roaring adversary vanished without a trace, not even leaving a corpse behind. Still tense from the battle, Bai Fan's muscles remained taut, and the pain in her left hand reminded her that all of this was real and not a dream. Had it not been for He Yi Man's sudden intervention, she might have perished alongside her foes. A "thud" sounded behind her. Turning to look, Bai Fan saw the two magical artifacts fall to the ground, their owners now gone. He Yi Man looked up at the battered Bai Fan and asked, "What happened here?" ------------------------ Finally done! Please excuse any typos.
