280 - I Don’t Want to Be Turned Into the Female Protagonist by the System

## Chapter 280: Heading to the Haunted House (Third Update, Please Vote) The group of four finished riding the Double Pirate Ship, the Brave Adventurer, and Samba Balloons, finally coming to a halt—not because they were tired, but because they were hungry. At Wang Yun's suggestion, they made their way to a place to eat. The Su City Amusement Park has a variety of dining options, mostly fast-food styled, each with its own unique theme. Wang Yun chose a restaurant named "Pirate's Den Fast Food." The menu was simple, offering only three dishes, and the prices were straightforward at 98 and 138 each. Su Qi looked at the prices, finding them quite unreasonable. Even if the steak was large, 118 seemed a bit steep! After some thought, Su Qi turned to her wife An Ning and said, "Honey, how about we share one?" An Ning, knowing her wife's frugality, agreed, especially since the steaks here were indeed quite large. In the end, the group ordered three meals: a steak, a giant chicken leg, and a hamburger patty. Feeling guilty for not spending any money herself, Su Qi gritted her teeth and handed over 374 yuan. Looking at the twin-tailed little girl, who seemed pitifully eyeing the 374 yuan on the payment screen, Wang Yun felt a sense of familiarity—it was like watching a little girl who had lost her lollipop. This girl's thought process was truly peculiar. She didn't seem this upset even after losing over 60,000 yuan in the stock market, yet spending 300 yuan on a meal caused her such distress. Wang Yun found it amusing. Since it was a fast-food restaurant, meals were generally half-prepped beforehand, thus their three order numbers appeared on the large screen within 5 minutes. The meals were quickly brought to the table. The most eye-catching dish was the giant chicken leg ordered by Wang Zijing. It was enormous! Su Qi speculated it must be a turkey leg, as only a turkey could have such a large leg! At this moment, the chicken leg was roasted to a fiery red color, coated with a thick red sauce that looked incredibly appetizing. Seeing her wife's gaze fixed on the food, Wang Zijing kindly cut a sauce-soaked piece of chicken for her. Su Qi, upon receiving the food, felt incredibly lucky to have such a caring wife in Zijing. She must have saved the galaxy in her previous life, she thought, before devouring it in one bite. Watching Su Qi delight in her meal, An Ning also cut her steak into strips, dipped them in sauce, and joined in serving the food. Seeing the little girl enjoy her meal so much, Wang Yun joined in and offered Su Qi some pieces of hamburger meat too. This group of three beautiful women and a cute little girl naturally attracted the attention of many diners. Some hesitant about where to eat quickly settled nearby. Numerous children, staring wide-eyed at the sweet-looking girl eating happily, drooled in envy, leaving parents with pleading looks on their faces little choice but to make a purchase. Unbeknownst to them, the girls inadvertently became a marketing force for the restaurant. "Here, have some cola." Wang Yun said, handing her bottle to the little girl who had almost finished her meal. Su Qi, indeed thirsty, found the chilled, indulgent drink incredibly satisfying after the day's exertions and heavy meal. It invigorated her, making her feel she could keep playing all day. Just then, Wang Yun gently suggested, "Little one, how about we check out the haunted house next? It's quite famous around here." Upon hearing Wang Yun's proposal, sparks of excitement flashed in the eyes of Wang Zijing and An Ning. They seemed to envision their wife hiding fearfully in their arms, feeling it would be terribly amusing. Su Qi, to be honest, wasn't too interested in haunted houses. After all, she had been a boy and was fairly brave. Moreover, her two wives were likely not fond of haunted houses, right? Plus, there were still many other attractions left to experience. Just as she was about to decline, her wife Zijing said: "It really does sound intriguing; it wouldn't hurt to try." And her wife An Ning added: "Honey, you’re not scared, are you?" At this point, Su Qi felt it necessary to show them she wasn't fearful at all, so she agreed to the plan. There are two haunted houses in Su City Amusement Park. One is the not-so-scary free haunted house called "Tales of Liao Zhai." The other is a paid attraction called "Escape the Asylum!" As for which one they would visit—there really was no doubt! After their meal, the four quickly arrived at their destination. Su Qi noticed how unusually quiet it was. Considering there were many people taking pictures but very few in line, she found the situation curious. Su Qi sensed a whiff of conspiracy in the air! Yet, seeing her two wives and Wang Yun already entering, she couldn’t back out now! After some hesitation, she followed them in. Inside the asylum, staff members dressed in white clothes stained with fake bloodstains were in heated discussion! The topic was how terrifying the "Escape the Asylum" experience was, with even higher prices than others. Some people suggested whether they should lower the ticket prices or reduce the scare tactics to attract more customers. In the midst of their discussions, they heard the door creak open. They all fell silent—customer satisfaction was the top priority! Keep in mind, they charged 250 yuan per person, making it one of the more expensive experiences. They must provide an exceptional experience! Yet, when they saw three youthful and beautiful girls walk in, the staff were momentarily stunned—girls choosing to enter this terrifying attraction might end up in tears. However, those working at haunted houses secretly loved making girls cry, particularly beautiful ones. Just then, the door creaked again. All eyes turned to the new arrival, with several single males silently hopeful it wasn’t one of the girl’s boyfriends. They weren't keen on getting 'caught' in the act. And, their hopes proved true. The newcomer was an adorably cute little girl in a JK uniform with twin-tails and white stockings, whose sweet appearance seemed out of place in the blood-splattered setting. The receptionist kindly turned off the looping horror BGM, out of fear it would frighten the little girl. Su Qi glanced around, finding the haunted house quite well done! Much better than the one in Zhejiang she visited before, and since all the 'ghosts' seemed to be real people, it should be interesting. Just then, Wang Yun, who first suggested the haunted house, approached the reception and asked, "How much for four of us?" The receptionist was taken aback, four of them? Only then did she realize that Wang Yun was including the little girl too. Though wanting to sell more tickets, the receptionist shook her head after some thought and said, "I'm sorry, we don't allow minors here. It's simply too... terrifying." Hearing the receptionist’s words, the girls' eyes shined even brighter. They were filled with anticipation! Hint: To help you choose books, our "Rankings" page has been optimized. Give it a try!
