260 - Mistress, I Was Wrong

Chapter 260: The Dragon Queen "Return to where we were." Dongfang Minghui speculated that the half-piece of the Soul Dispersal Mirror inside the cave had rebelled. Ding Ding wasn't very willing, flitting about outside. If Little Color and the Pig Immortal Grass hadn't each tied one of its wings, it wouldn't have been so compliant. Dongfang Minghui gently pinched Ding Ding's small wings. "Ding Ding, there's an issue with the Soul Dispersal Mirror. We need to resolve this." Ding Ding lay flat in her palm, emitting petulant hums of discontent. She rubbed it affectionately and placed it on her shoulder. "Without fixing this mirror, we can't leave this place." "The only way to retrieve the mirror is to have Ding Ding release Little Hui from the Longevity Cauldron." "The only way..." "Didn't you try this earlier?" Dongfang Minghui walked in silence. With the help of Little Color and the Pig Immortal Grass, she returned to the location of the Soul Dispersal Mirror. She looked up; the mirror was draped in white cloth. Occasionally, when she changed perspective, she could catch a glimpse of the mirror surface. "Ding Ding, release Little Hui from the Cauldron." "Okay!" As Ding Ding released Little Hui, it also dropped a fierce beast down. The beast, already burned to a crisp and resembling a pig's head, was attempting to heal by approaching the ice coffin and the ice fountain. It was suddenly dropped, leaving it mumbling, "Where is this?" Dongfang Minghui guessed that explaining the Soul Dispersal Mirror to it would be futile. She simply said, "It's a cave." Ding Ding happily perched on the beast's forehead, directing it with delight, "Go east, no west..." creating quite a scene. Dongfang Minghui exchanged glances with Little Hui. It took her a while to realize one thing—without Yu Chi Shou's translation, she couldn't understand Little Hui, "Little Hui, there's half a piece of the Soul Dispersal Mirror here. We can't seem to leave without removing it; do you have a solution?" The white-haired Little Hui hissed twice, pointing upward and then toward the cave entrance. Dongfang Minghui found it hard to grasp its meaning. After some guesses from Little Color and the Pig Immortal Grass within her soul sea, she hesitated, "Do you want me to go to the entrance and wait for you?" Little Hui nodded its head vigorously. She longed to ask if retrieving the mirror would hurt Little Hui, but found herself unable to voice the question. Silently, she walked toward the cave entrance. Ding Ding, who was busy directing the beast, saw her leaving and quickly called after, "Little Nine, Little Nine, wait for me." Uncertain of Ding Ding's intentions, the beast followed Dongfang Minghui with Ding Ding on its head. “What about the others?” “Seventh Sister and Yu Chi Shou are still with those savages. Just now, as I tried to find a way, the path vanished. We suspect it was the mirror's doing, and thought retrieving it might let us search for Seventh Sister afterward.” Dongfang Minghui worried she might not find this cave again and lose sight of the mirror, which would bring her to tears. Just as she finished speaking, something wrapped in white cloth suddenly materialized in her hands. She looked down—this was the cloth she had just used to wrap the mirror. Uncovering a corner, she confirmed it was the Soul Dispersal Mirror and quickly stored it within her space. The cave shook for a few moments. Concerned, she called out, “Little Hui, Little Hui, come out quickly, the cave is about to collapse.” The beast quickly moved forward a few steps, carrying Ding Ding further from the cave. The trembling ceased after a few shakes, and the cave remained intact. From outside, Dongfang Minghui shouted for a while, "You all wait outside, don't go in. I'll find Little Hui." Ding Ding flew down to perch near Dongfang Minghui’s shoulder saying, "Little Nine." “There’s a bloody smell.” “Could Little Hui be injured?” Dongfang Minghui remembered the last time retrieving the mirror had left Little Hui unconscious, bleeding, and close to shock. She rushed back to the mirror's location, but the now-smooth cave wall looked untouched, oddly pristine. "Very peculiar." “Little Hui is in the corner to your right up ahead, seems unconscious.” She crouched down, blindly groping forward like a sightless person. Her hand encountered something warm and damp, and she felt around more, “Little Hui, Little Hui?” “It’s unconscious, quickly take it outside.” “Mhm.” Outside, in the light, she saw Little Hui’s pitiful state clearly. Its tail was severed, as if sliced off, and its breathing was faint. Trembling, she quickly retrieved hemostatic pills and blood-replenishing pills. “My goodness, was the blood loss last time because Little Hui’s tail was cut?” “Possibly.” To Little Color, it seemed Little Hui's severed tail was akin to its vines—severed but regenerative…though admittedly more vicious looking. Ding Ding obediently hovered at her shoulder, suddenly exclaimed, “Little Nine, Little Nine, savages.” “Little Nine isn’t a savage,” Dongfang Minghui corrected, then worriedly, “Oh, savages.” A few savages were dragging the struggling Yu Chi Shou toward them, though Seventh Sister was nowhere to be seen. Dongfang Minghui quickly had Ding Ding return Little Hui to the Cauldron, along with the conspicuous fierce beast. “Could the removal of the mirror have restored everything to normal?” “Not sure.” Little Color hesitated. “The piece you have is part of a broken mirror. Once combined with the part your Seventh Sister holds, it might show its actual effect.” A mirror already shattered, how could it possibly be rejoined? With Ding Ding in tow, Dongfang Minghui sought refuge in the cave once again, watching a group of savages muttering outside before tossing Yu Chi Shou unceremoniously into the cave alongside her. This replayed the scene from her arrival, differing in that she had been carried in, while Yu Chi Shou was thrown. “Did they leave?” “Little Nine, they left.” Ding Ding hid in the darkness, her eyes glinting with excitement, not quite clear if it found the situation thrilling or just the savages foolish. Dongfang Minghui hurried to Yu Chi Shou, nudging him with her foot. Initially thinking he too had fainted like her, he suddenly stirred and slowly clambered to his feet. “Who’s there?” “It’s me.” Yu Chi Shou exhaled with relief, “I thought those savages were back to finish the job.” “Where’s Seventh Sister?” “They find Qian Wanyu appealing in every way, planning to deliver her as a sacrifice in a few days.” ... Savages value appearances, too. Dongfang Minghui suddenly sensed a disparity. “Am I uglier than you?” Yu Chi Shou chuckled as they began to exit, “Three to five days have passed, and we feared you faced danger, especially Qian Wanyu. She was very concerned.” “Three to five days?” Dongfang Minghui hated the cave; pitch-black and void of any discernible path. “To me, it felt like just one day.” Yu Chi Shou abruptly halted, pointing to the savages patrolling ten meters ahead. “We must avoid detection. They communicate among themselves. Let’s sneak past them and find Qian Wanyu.” “Alright.” Crouching, they moved stealthily like thieves, slipping unnoticed under two savages' noses. Arriving, they found Qian Wanyu displayed on a high platform as an offering, dressed in savage attire. The savages danced in exaggerated motions around her, shaking their scant coverings with every move, revealing more than intended. Dongfang Minghui gritted her teeth, murmuring low, “I want to kill these savages.” Yu Chi Shou, amused, stroked his chin beside her, “Seventh Sister’s calmness shows she isn’t bothered by them. Oddly, she shines among the savages.” Dongfang Minghui glared at him, fully aware of her Seventh Sister’s excellence. “Ding Ding, fly to Seventh Sister and tell her we acquired the other Soul Dispersal Mirror. Quietly, don’t let anyone overhear.” “Alright.” Ding Ding discreetly minimized its presence, like a bee, and buzzed to Qian Wanyu's ear, “Little Nine said, we’ve got the mirror.” Qian Wanyu scanned the worshipping savages, instructing, “Ding Ding, put me inside the Longevity Cauldron.” Obediently, Ding Ding spirited her away unnoticed, leaving the savages frantic, searching for the vanished figure. Some climbed the high platform, but finding no trace, left puzzled. Swirling among the chaotic savages, Ding Ding returned to Dongfang Minghui’s side, stating, “Little Nine, shall we leave now?” “Let’s go.” She and Yu Chi Shou retreated quietly, avoiding the savages' dwelling until they reached the door once more. "It all began here, so it should all end here." Dongfang Minghui checked to see if no one noticed, then instructed Ding Ding to release Seventh Sister. Within the Longevity Cauldron, Qian Wanyu had changed into a new outfit. Seeing that both were alright, she immediately said, "Ninth Sister, give me the Soul Dispersal Mirror." Without hesitation, Dongfang Minghui tossed the cloth-wrapped item to Qian Wanyu, reminding her, "Seventh Sister, I encountered a two-headed snake in the sacrificial cave—the tails shared, but the bodies and heads were separate. It guarded the Soul Dispersal Mirror. I suspect its transformation could be due to the mirror, as it was embedded in the cave ceiling, visible with just a glance." "Did you engage with it?" "It tried to trap me, not allowing me to leave. I poisoned one of its heads with plum blossom nails, and the other, well Ding Ding finished it off." "Squashed it with a punch," Little Color added within the soul sea. "Ding Ding even said it wasn't worth the fight." "......" Qian Wanyu could easily imagine the two-headed snake's demise. With a furrowed brow, she pulled out another piece of the Soul Dispersal Mirror from her space, instructing, "I intend to merge the two halves of the mirror. You both should stand behind me to avoid disturbances." "Alright." Yu Chi Shou and Dongfang Minghui lined up behind Qian Wanyu, curiously peering over to watch how she would merge the two fractured pieces. However, the cracks persisted; the zigzag lines served as a stark reminder of the mirror's past. The Soul Dispersal Mirror had a handle. As Qian Wanyu attempted to piece the mirrors together, she noticed a slight resistance emanating from the surfaces, seemingly repelling each other. The more she pressed, the more intense the repulsion became. Both mirror halves started trembling as if on the brink of explosion. Holding them, one face up and the other down, she was forced to pause. "Seventh Sister, what's wrong?" "These two mirrors are incompatible and repel each other," Qian Wanyu's hands were slightly trembling. She began to doubt if the two fragments belonged to the same mirror, yet their shapes matched, and their surrounding patterns were similar—they should be parts of the Soul Dispersal Mirror. "Why is this happening?" "Seventh Sister, could it be because the mirrors were apart for so long, their different auras cause this initial rejection during fusion?" The more Dongfang Minghui pondered, the more plausible this hypothesis seemed to her. "If there's a way to cleanse the chaotic energies at the junction, perhaps they would attract each other." Yu Chi Shou looked puzzled, "How can we get rid of those chaotic energies? We don't have any spiritual power." Qian Wanyu wrapped them back in the white cloth, the attempt having exhausted her. Without spiritual power, the body's deficiencies were glaring. She sat cross-legged, contemplatively staring ahead, "Where's Ding Ding?" Dongfang Minghui looked around but didn’t spot Ding Ding's small figure, "It was here moments ago. Maybe it doesn’t like the mirror and went off to play somewhere." "Indeed, not fond of it." After another search yielding no Ding Ding, Dongfang Minghui sat down to brainstorm, "Seventh Sister, what do you think could purify the mirror's aura?" "Water?" Qian Wanyu shook her head. "But you can try it. If it works, great; if not, we need another solution." Dongfang Minghui and Yu Chi Shou exchanged glances, attempting various methods. She even applied potions for suppressing death aura and black mist on the Soul Dispersal Mirror, but the broken mirrors showed no reaction. "We tried everything, but nothing worked." Everyone felt a bit defeated. Qian Wanyu glanced at them, "Let's rest for a while and regain our strength." Dongfang Minghui sat cross-legged, tapping her cheek in thought, "Could there be a mirror spirit? But that doesn’t seem right, would there be attributes for the mirror spirit too?" The group fell silent, brainstorming solutions. Meanwhile, Ding Ding curled into a ball on the iron door, inadvertently becoming a part of the wall art, its eyes fixed on the mirror below with inexplicable anger. "Hmm, Seventh Sister, move back a bit." "What for?" Qian Wanyu gave a suspicious look at Dongfang Minghui who was acting mysteriously. "Hehe, Seventh Sister, let me try one last thing," Dongfang Minghui promised. Her understanding of chaotic aura was as dirt or grime, extraneous to the mirror's essence—something messy and miscellaneous. And since it was akin to dirt, could purification from the light element cleanse it? She sneaked the light-element egg from her spatial storage. The little thing had stayed dormant and well-behaved there for some time, even more so than Ding Ding. If not for a recent cleanup of Lovebind space, she might have forgotten the egg meant for Brother Situ. "Hey, where did you get a light-element egg?" Yu Chi Shou widened his eyes, itching to snatch it, until Qian Wanyu slapped his hand away. "Ninth Sister, you're going to use a light-element egg to purify the mirror's chaotic aura?" "Let's give it a try. We don’t really have other options." Honestly, she hoped Ding Ding could fuse the mirrors since it was their only member with spiritual and physical strength intact, but the little creature's aversion to the mirror left her at a loss. Instinctively, Qian Wanyu backed away from the egg emitting a soft white glow. She felt uneasy facing its energy without her own spiritual protection. Yu Chi Shou got the hint, shielding the others from the light as best he could, "Need help?" Dongfang Minghui nodded, gently stroking the light egg, "Little one, not sure if you can purify, but could you help us if you can?" Yu Chi Shou uncovered half the cloth, revealing a small portion of the Soul Dispersal Mirror, "Quickly." Dongfang Minghui employed simple yet crude methods. Rolling the egg around the mirror's edge like a rolling pin, it continued to shine with its pure light, leaving her hesitant to even peek at the egg-marked mirror. Yu Chi Shou quickly uncovered the other half, prompting, "Over here." With renewed determination, Dongfang Minghui rubbed the egg, encouraging herself and it, “We must purify the mirror's chaotic aura.” Even after a hundred years of separation, the two fragments shared origins. She hoped they would remember their past connection. As the egg rolled back and forth between the fragment, the others watched anxiously. "It doesn't look like it's working," Yu Chi Shou remarked regrettably, disappointed to see no visible change. Dongfang Minghui sighed in resignation, "Then it's out of our hands. I figure the egg tried its best." Still fondling the egg’s soft warmth, she felt a reluctance to part from its comforting presence. Yet she swiftly returned the light egg to her space. Qian Wanyu patiently waited until it disappeared before returning, observing the disappointed duo. She consoled them, "Such issues can't be resolved overnight. You both coming up with so many ideas is impressive enough—" Crack. Crack. Ding Ding, who had wanted to hold the egg, reacted to the sound with excitement, raising its wings high. The ground shook violently, akin to an earthquake. Dongfang Minghui and Yu Chi Shou, crouched on the ground, were tossed about and landed flat. It became evident that the tremors stemmed from the mirror ahead. The cloth covering it flew off; the fractured fragments began irresistibly drawing toward each other, like magnets. "Quick, back away." "This is—" Yu Chi Shou stammered with excitement, "Is this success?" "Huh?" Dongfang Minghui, realizing belatedly, credited the egg, "Thanks to the egg." Qian Wanyu’s laughter was a mix of exasperation and relief as she pulled the two away to the iron door. "It'd be best if this Soul Dispersal Mirror could open the barrier here, but if not..." The trio exchanged glances, pondering if all their efforts were in vain. The fractured mirrors grew larger, enlarging enough to highlight every crack. A blinding light burst from where they joined, enveloping the space and extending far beyond, spreading for miles. Instinctively, Qian Wanyu shielded the others within her embrace, absorbing the mirror's glow onto her back. Dongfang Minghui clung to her sleeve, suddenly remembering Ding Ding was absent. She softly called, "Ding Ding." "Ding Ding." "Ding Ding, come out, stop fooling around." Hearing Dongfang Minghui's urgent calls, Ding Ding's small eyes darted around. With a struggle, it burst out from the iron door, darting straight into Dongfang Minghui's embrace, burrowing in close to feel Little Nine's warm presence. Dongfang Minghui reached out and gently touched the bulge in her clothing, knowing it was afraid of the Soul Dispersal Mirror, she simply let it be without scolding. The light's reach brought about dramatic changes everywhere. Dongfang Minghui, sheltered by Seventh Sister, couldn't see, while Yu Chi Shou and Qian Wanyu were forced to close their eyes against the mirror's blinding light, feeling even then a white expanse... Gradually, everyone slipped into sleep. —— Waking from her slumber, Dongfang Minghui blinked in a daze, realizing she was in a small bamboo house, simply decorated for habitation. She stayed still for a few breaths, quickly recalling past events and instinctively reaching out. To her dismay, Ding Ding was gone. Activating her spiritual power, she found it fully restored. She jumped out of bed and, stepping outside, saw not far away a purple-haired girl facing away, skillfully collecting dew from bamboo leaves with a white porcelain jar—a practiced hand. "Excuse me—" As the purple-haired girl turned, her beautiful face astonished Dongfang Minghui, despite having seen many beauties. Beyond her purple hair, even her eyelashes were purple. Dongfang Minghui quickly regained composure. "Miss, have you seen the others with me, such as a woman and a man?" The purple-haired girl immediately pouted playfully, "Yes." Ecstatic, Dongfang Minghui pressed, "Could you tell me where they are? They're important to me, and also—" The girl probed, "And what else?" "Previously, I held something about this size, but it's now missing. Have you seen it?" Dongfang Minghui wondered if Ding Ding had wandered off or was taken, though she hoped for the former. She knew Ding Ding well enough—if it were unconscious, how could it wander? "Never seen it." Dongfang Minghui's face grew darker. Ding Ding's disappearance meant Toothless and her mother were also missing. Hopefully, they're fine. "Miss, could you kindly tell me where they are?" The purple-haired girl's slight smile turned sharp, "Not convenient." Dongfang Minghui was speechless. Looking around, she discerned that this was a secluded bamboo grove, with just the two of them. She pondered overpowering the girl to uncover Seventh Sister and Yu Chi Shou's whereabouts. "I saved your life. If you'd like to repay the favor, stay with me here for three years." "What! Three years!" Dongfang Minghui looked at her as if she was a lunatic. The girl continued collecting dew leisurely. "Little Color, Pig Immortal Grass." "Little Color is meditating, planning to advance." "Little Color is advancing." Pig Immortal Grass added, "Though she saved you, she stripped your clothes while you were unconscious, so stay wary." "What!" Dongfang Minghui shot up, her face flushing with a burst of colors in anger, "She didn't do anything, right?" Pig Immortal Grass twitched its grassy tail, "No." She touched the Lovebind around her waist, discovering that her plum blossom nails and flying needles were missing, darkening her mood even more. "Until you gauge her limits, don't act recklessly." "Mhm." Deflated like a popped balloon, she sat outside, watching the purple-haired girl flit through the bamboo grove like a butterfly, until she returned with two full jars of dew. Dongfang Minghui noted how easily she left again. "Is she not worried about me?" "This bamboo grove has formations. Without guidance, you likely can't leave." Pig Immortal Grass chuckled cryptically. "All the better—it falls to you then." Dongfang Minghui started to wander the bamboo grove, casually lifting her gaze, and using her consciousness to ask a particularly tall bamboo, "What's this place? Are there exits?" The grass and flowers around, rarely finding such a listener, chattered enthusiastically, divulging all they could, sharing secrets and trivia alike with their 'kindred spirit.' Combining this information, she understood. This was the Dragon Clan's Purple Bamboo Grove. The dew-collecting girl was actually a dragon. She felt relief for not carrying out her impulsive plan to hold the girl hostage for information on Seventh Sister. Instead, she could freely explore. Besides, if the girl was indeed a medicinal dragon responsible for clan affairs, such as treating the sick, the stripping likely served as a medical examination. Not needing Pig Immortal Grass, Dongfang Minghui asked directions from flora and found her way out. "Not likely that the purple-haired girl took Ding Ding," she mused, considering Ding Ding's combat prowess. "Pig Immortal Grass, let's search for Seventh Sister." "Agreed." Using her natural advantage, Dongfang Minghui inquired for gossip, distancing herself from the Purple Bamboo Grove. Unexpectedly, after her departure, a silver-haired girl joined the purple-haired one in the grove, their faces changing upon realizing she was gone. Fortunately, Dongfang Minghui dodged potential dissection; wandering, she repeatedly hid from groups of dragon folk. Though similar to her dream, the dragons had shed aerial habits and walked on earth in human forms, indistinguishable from humans without transformation. As long as they didn't transform, humans and dragons were indistinguishable... luckily for her, none expected a human to stroll brazenly through their midst, much less being sought by the Dragon Queen and Purple Feather Girl. Noticing they didn’t regard her oddly, Dongfang Minghui mingled boldly among them. Dragons had gossip too, and she sought such idle rumor-mongers. "I hear they brought back a human and a wild dragon on patrol." "Wild dragon?" Eavesdropping, Dongfang Minghui nearly spat in shock—'wild dragon' surely referred to Yu Chi Shou. Quickly, she pieced it together, puzzled why she remained unaccounted for when she and Seventh Sister had fallen together. Could their locations differ upon fainting? And Ding Ding... whereabouts unknown. "They were taken to the Dragon God, enraging Lord Long Sheng—now they're imprisoned atop Dragon Peak." Dongfang Minghui hurriedly retreated into the crowd, noting, "Who knows what Dragon Peak's like? Yu Chi Shou, at least of dragon kin, but for Seventh Sister—would they make an example of her?" Pig Immortal Grass let her wander, unobstructed. "Finding Ding Ding is crucial. Returning Toothless to the dragons ought to earn merit. Lose Toothless, and Yu Chi Shou's words become worthless, marking you opportunistic human infiltrators." Rubbing her forehead, Dongfang Minghui halted, despite the burning urge to charge that so-called Dragon Peak. Admitting Pig Immortal Grass was right, recognizing the bigger picture despite her heated impatience. "But, Seventh Sister could be in danger." "Relax." Pig Immortal Grass, acknowledging Qian Wanyu’s caliber, believed her survival was assured—her mind far keener than Dongfang Minghui’s. "But where did Ding Ding get to?" "Try using your own methods to draw it out." My own methods? The only method Dongfang Minghui could think of was using food to lure Ding Ding out, specifically with some fish slices. She found a river, set up a wooden frame nearby, and was ready to cook before realizing she was missing something crucial: fire. Usually, with Yu Chi Shou around, there was always the backup of Little Fatty or Xiao Miao to provide a convenient flame, freeing her from having to plan anything. Now, when she truly needed to get things done, she realized she was flustered and unable to do anything right. Frustrated, Dongfang Minghui nearly kicked the stone pot over in irritation. As she paced back and forth, an idea of going all in crossed her mind to lure out Ding Ding. "What do you plan to do?" "I'm going to the most populated area of the dragon clan and start a barbecue." Pig Immortal Grass had to admit the idea was brilliant. If Ding Ding came out, great; if not, well, they might end up jailed with Qian Wanyu, at least. Swiftly grabbing the stone pot, Dongfang Minghui headed toward the busiest part of the dragon clan. She traded a pure spiritual fire lotus seed and a fire dragon for a spot and a small flame. She immediately set about showcasing her culinary skills. At first, disinterested dragons caught the fragrant scent mid-air and involuntarily paused at her stall. Soon, some dragons, their curiosity piqued, asked about the prices. Dragon barter was somewhat outdated—they used goods instead of spirit stones, likely due to their century-long seclusion from external trading practices. "Anything is fine. Whatever you find this meat is worth, trade with that." Dongfang Minghui unloaded a substantial portion of the dragon meat from her space, initially meant for Toothless. Ding Ding had certainly stirred up trouble this time. "Great, give me a skewer." "Alright." With more dragons gathering, Pig Immortal Grass cautioned, "If Ding Ding doesn't come, and that purple-haired girl who trapped you in the bamboo grove does, prepare yourself." Dongfang Minghui skillfully maintained the low fire under the stone pot, tossing in slices of meat—intentionally causing a veritable dragon drool fest. At ease, she bartered with lining dragons, at a steady, deliberate pace. "This entire dragon should delay things for a few hours. If Ding Ding doesn't show up by then, something must've happened." News of her activity spread quickly. Her specialty spices and the uniquely chewy barbecued meat, coupled with its mouth-watering aroma already wafting from the boiling pot, drew attention. Even Pig Immortal Grass believed the logic held up, still feeling something amiss but unable to pinpoint what. Promptly, hearing about an unusual event, a silver-haired Dragon Queen arrived with dragon guards, trailed by an irate purple-haired girl. Onlookers instinctively made way. "Seems like Ding Ding is trapped somewhere," Pig Immortal Grass sighed regretfully. Dongfang Minghui looked up at the Dragon Queen, her resemblance to the one in her dreams uncanny. Not only that, but a century had passed without any trace of aging. Perplexed, she furrowed her brow at the improbability of it all. "You—you actually made it here," the purple-haired girl exclaimed, angrily—any previous playful demeanor replaced with irritation. Fixing Dongfang Minghui with a stare potent enough to bore holes, she hadn't expected anyone to escape her grove. "What are you all standing there for? Arrest this human!" At her outcry, surrounding dragons froze, some still savoring meat, now stunned enough to let it fall forgotten. "Dragon Queen." The Dragon Queen raised an eyebrow in surprise, "Do you know me?" Dongfang Minghui smiled slightly, playing it up. "A hundred years ago, you used the Soul Dispersal Mirror to strike the Longevity Cauldron; we retrieved the mirror for you, clearing two barriers and all. Is this how you repay benefactors?" Skepticism crossed the Dragon Queen’s eyes, studying her intently, "How do you know about events from a century ago?" Dongfang Minghui's lips curled confidently, "A century ago, I was the Dragon God's sister, and you entrusted Xuan Er to me personally. Have you forgotten such a crucial matter?"
