92 - Stop Hypnotizing Me, Villainous Princess!
Chapter 92: Only Gods Can Endure Evest didn't wear stockings today, opting instead for bare feet in high heels. Looking at those long, slender legs in front of him, Lin En felt his pressure increase once more. After all, he was a man with normal desires, and accidentally touching something was entirely plausible in causing one to "lose control" in this situation. However, it was clear that the crazy woman in front of him didn't consider him as an opposite sex. Otherwise, how could she so easily agree to his date invitation today? Lin En sighed inwardly, reminding himself that this was all part of the plan. Then, under the curious and bashful eyes of the surrounding store clerks, he slowly knelt down and reached for Evest's ankle. Her ankle was slender, the skin smooth. Upon touch, he could only feel a soft and delicate sensation. Evest stared at him with an expressionless face, seemingly unbothered by such a degree of physical contact. Or perhaps, this kind of emotion was simply impossible for her. Lin En gently lifted her calf with his right hand, his fingers hooking under the heel of the shoe. With a soft "plop," a delicate, fair foot instantly appeared before his eyes. He couldn’t help but wonder if Evest was so powerful that her essence had transformed beyond normal human metabolism. Lin En even caught a faint scent of roses, marveling in his heart. For foot enthusiasts, refraining from licking would indeed be superhuman. Unfortunately, Lin En was not a foot enthusiast. Even though he swallowed a few times, he still dutifully slipped the semi-transparent crystal high heels onto her feet. Then, he repeated the process for the other foot. Once done, he breathed a sigh of relief, looking at Evest now clad in her new high heels. “Your Highness, it's done.” Evest frowned at the crystal high heels, commenting mildly, “Ugly.” But despite her words, she still stood up, heading towards the store exit without a backward glance. In a hurry, Lin En paid the bill, carrying Evest's replaced black high heels in hand, and followed after her. Their second stop was a local specialty restaurant in Orne City. This restaurant wasn’t upscale, yet it was bustling. It was lunchtime, and every seat was taken. In a secluded corner, Evest sat cross-legged with her arms folded across a somewhat worn round wooden table, staring at Lin En seated opposite. Her expression grew darker. Shortly after, two plates of aromatic braised meat were served by a waiter, accompanied by slightly overcooked rye bread. “I really want to strangle you right now.” Evest's tone grew increasingly icy. Clearly, she hadn’t expected this guy to be audacious enough to bring someone of her distinguished status to a commoner's restaurant she'd otherwise never glance at. “Your Highness, give it a try.” Lin En handed her a spoon. “This is a place I frequented when I was first exiled to Orne City.” Even by the standards of his previous life, he found it good. Saying this, he scooped up a spoonful of braised meat and brought it to his mouth. “I never share utensils with others.” Evest looked at him coldly. “Besides, in my opinion, this stuff is no different from dog food.” “Cough-cough.” Just a couple of chews in, Lin En choked, turning aside to cough. But seeing him in this state, Evest suddenly seemed to think of something, her eyes brightened slightly, and her once indifferent expression eased, revealing a slight wicked smile. When Lin En finally regained his breath and looked at the plate in front of him again, he found his spoon missing. “Open your mouth.” Looking up, he saw Evest propping her chin with one hand and holding a spoonful of braised meat and sauce to his face with the other. Her gaze held an amused interest, though her thoughts remained elusive. Recalling her description of the food as “dog food,” Lin En immediately grasped her intention. His expression darkened at once. Calm. This is still part of the plan. Just imagine her as a tender girlfriend personally feeding him. Imagining Evest leaning against him like a delicate bird, murmuring “Brother Lin En” coquettishly while holding onto his arm against her chest... Lost in fantasy, Lin En found himself unknowingly leaning forward to eat the spoonful offered. “Good doggy.” Evest narrowed her eyes, gently patting his head. After leaving the restaurant, the sky began to dim. However, barely a few steps down the street, Evest suddenly stopped: “I'm hungry, get something to eat.” Are you kidding me? Lin En was stunned. Although frustration simmered within, he dutifully dashed over to a nearby bakery and purchased a freshly baked butter croissant. “Your Highness, here.” He offered the croissant, wrapped in a paper bag, to Evest. Surprisingly, she didn’t even attempt to take it, merely commenting, “Raise it higher.” Thus, Lin En lifted the croissant closer to her mouth. Evest slightly lowered her head, tucking her hair back behind her ears with a cool expression, and took a tiny bite from the middle. For some reason, he found the sight rather seductive. “Tastes awful.” Swallowing the bite, Evest scanned him with a blank expression and remarked. Alright. With your chest size, we’ll let you have the final say. Lin En shrugged, preparing to dispose of the leftover. Considering he was force-fed two plates of meat and two pieces of bread back at the restaurant, his stomach was already at its limit. Yet, upon reflection, whether it was Evest feeding him at the restaurant or him now feeding her, these were things couples normally do together. And yet, under this woman’s unconventional way of doing things, it merely felt more annoying than romantic. Only someone like her could manage such a feat. Before Lin En could turn around, Evest spoke again: “What are you going to do?” “Uh... throw it away?” Lin En lifted the paper bag in explanation. The temperature seemed to drop instantly. Evest stood there, her expression suddenly cold and threatening: “Are you implying... that the food this princess tasted is trash?” Wow. Your angles are truly unique, Your Highness! Even Lin En had to mentally give her praise. Under Evest's terrifying gaze, he kept telling himself this was just an indirect kiss as he forced himself to finish the croissant despite his full stomach. Except she didn’t seem to care either way. “What next?” “The circus?” “Childish.” Ten minutes later. Watching Evest sitting silently observing the circus performance, Lin En scoffed inwardly, feeling triumphant for once. “Your Highness, how is it? Is the performance fun?” “You, go replace the lion and show me a fire hoop jump.” “... I was wrong.”
