Volume 5 Chapter 0124 The Declaration of Order in this World - I, The Dragon Overlord

Goddess of the Silver Moon, Selune, and Goddess of the Night, Shar, silently entered the "Dragonblight." The two goddesses remained wordless on their journey, and after a divine spell of teleportation, they arrived at the base of the central peak of Dragonblight. At this place, even ordinary deities must choose to ascend on foot to show respect for the ruler of this divine realm. Now that Louie had ascended to the status of sovereign, both Shar and Selune were even less likely to defy his will. The two goddesses paid no heed to the beauty of this divine kingdom. Shar had always resided within Dragonblight, and Selune often sent avatars here in the past to meet Louie. Both were extremely familiar with Dragonblight. However, this time, as they made their way to the central "Sleeping Dragon Temple," their minds were filled with countless emotions. This core area of the divine kingdom forbade teleportation and flight, but the goddesses' strides were swift. Before long, they arrived at the grand and majestic temple. "Lady Selune, Lady Shar, our lord has been awaiting your arrival inside." As they approached the floating temple that dominated the expansive sky and earth, a multi-winged angel emerged from within and respectfully greeted the two goddesses. "Tanarra..." Upon seeing the angel, the Goddess of the Silver Moon merely nodded slightly, while Shar remained indifferent. Nevertheless, being remembered by two deities indicated Tanarra's renown. Once known as the Sword of Dawn, and now the Sword of Order, Tanarra was well-known among ancient gods. As the former messenger of the Dawn Goddess, she had traversed many planes and met numerous deities. Led by the angel, Selune and Shar entered the grand hall, ascending the alabaster steps suspended in the sky, and traversed halls filled with infinite gemstones, emeralds, agates, and precious metals, symbolizing the wealth of dragons. Finally, they reached the inner sanctum where he, the sole sovereign, sat high in the void, overlooking all creations and deities. Within this hall also gathered the gods of good dragons, evil dragons, and the Goddess of Wealth. After exchanging formal greetings, all eyes turned to the God of Order sitting on the throne, his hand resting on his cheek, silent with closed eyes. Suddenly, Louie opened his eyes, and in his vertically slit dragon pupils seemed to coil a cosmic serpent. He first glanced at the Goddess of the Night, Shar. Though she constantly sought opportunities to curry favor with him, Louie did not particularly dislike her. In fact, he found her character somewhat aligned with his own. Finally, Louie's gaze settled on the Goddess of the Silver Moon. His dragon eyes showed a complex emotion. Truthfully, to have earned the affection of such an ancient deity was quite satisfying for Louie. Though his calculations were meticulous, he was not devoid of emotion. Having once been human, his humanity influenced him, preventing him from becoming a creature devoid of feeling. Yet, to reach the supreme heights, Louie had to make painful decisions that brought disappointment and sorrow. As a sovereign, he could no longer voice certain sentiments, and could only hope to convey through his gaze, hoping the mother of his child understood. No matter the circumstances, Louie would not allow his dignity to be undermined. He slowly and authoritatively spoke, "Lady Selune, why have you come to my divine realm?" Whether the Goddess of the Silver Moon interpreted Louie's gaze correctly was unknown. However, she conducted herself as a subject before an emperor, gracefully lifting her silver gown woven from moonlight, and elegantly curtsied to Louie. Raising her head, her eyes reflected the changing phases of the moon as she gazed at him. With features as exquisite as the moon itself—elegant, pure, and transcendent—Selune maintained a humble posture yet spoke in a solemn tone, "Your Majesty Louie, I come to you as a representative of the deities." "Heh... Of course, I know you stand here on behalf of the deities, Lady Selune. Those gods dared not inquire excessively in the Pantheon, so they send you to seek my opinions now. I am aware that the eyes of many gods are upon us, eagerly awaiting my response." Louie's voice was laced with mockery, deriding the gods for their timidity. The Goddess of the Silver Moon pressed her lips, bowing her head in silence, while Shar's lips curled with a hint of approval mixed with self-deprecation, acknowledging that she, too, was among the timid gods. Louie's subordinates remained silent, showing no reaction to his broad censure. Fortunately, this was not the Pantheon; otherwise, who knew how the gods might have stirred in agitation? At this point, Louie sighed, his tone softening slightly as he addressed Selune, "I understand the fear, the helplessness of the gods; their dread of me disrupting the divine hierarchy maintained for eons." "...So I hereby clearly inform you, Lady Selune, to announce to the gods that I have no intention of endangering their dominion. For I, too, am a god, and the order of the gods will persist. Deity remains supreme. I am not a god with an unquenchable thirst for power. As long as the gods do not defy my will or contradict my words, I, too, agree that the world shall remain under their dominion!" "This is the declaration of the God of Order; it is my decree of absolute order!" Louie's grand voice seemed to proclaim to the world, instantly spreading from Dragonblight to the Upper Planes, to the Lower Planes, to the Elemental Planes, reaching each deity's divine realm, entering the ears of gods. This was the proclamation of the God of Order, representing the order of this world. As the God of Order, Louie is to institute order in every world under his rule. According to the needs of different worlds, Louie's decreed order varies. Much like Earth has constitutional monarchies, democratic republics, and imperial feudal systems, Louie would tailor his order to the needs of each world. For example, in the world of San Soliel, where deities have ruled for millions of years, Louie finds it necessary to delegate some power to these gods. As long as he holds the power of final veto or approval, it suffices. But in a world like Earth, with Terran civilization, Louie would define their government based on their scientific development and suitability, perhaps as an empire. This is the inherent power of the God of Order—establishing governance for an entire universe, an order that perpetually revolves around him. For Louie, power is merely an extension of strength. As long as he possesses absolute strength, he wields absolute power, with the gods merely executing it on his behalf. "This is my proclamation, Lady Selune. Whether the gods choose to believe it is not my concern." Louie's voice gradually softened as he addressed the Goddess of the Silver Moon. "With your assurance, I'm certain the gods will be satisfied and will prepare everything within three days to help you break through the final barrier ahead." Selune exhaled lightly, her breath mingling with a scent like myrrh. Whether Louie's words warranted trust from the gods was uncertain, but having received his assurance, they had only words to believe in. "I'm glad you understand my predicament, Lady Selune. Since your task here is done, why not stay along with Lady Shar?" Louie extended his invitation openly. As for the implications in his words, both the Silver Moon Goddess and the Lady of the Night perfectly understood. The two oldest goddesses exchanged a glance—Selune with a hint of helplessness and Shar with a smirk of amusement. Regarding Louie's draconic ambitions, resistance was futile. Then, Louie continued, "Once, the Spider Queen wronged you, Lady Selune. Though she has been punished, perhaps it is not enough to vent your anger. Shall I bring her here for your amusement?" Selune couldn't help but chuckle while finding the suggestion absurd. To think the sovereign would indulge the thought, but upon reflection, Louie had always been that way. Was he intending to make her happy? It seemed more for his own amusement. And indeed, what dragon wouldn't be intrigued by a spider, curious beyond expectation.
