[Volume 5]: Chapter 6 - A Sweet Girl Won’t Be Fooled By The Villainess

Ifia felt like her brain's CPU was about to explode! After all, not long ago, she was a demonized Count Durer with a taste for the unusual. Although she had been successfully exorcised by Saint Tiffany, logically, she should have been resting in her bedroom. Instead, she was wandering around as if nothing had happened, and even knelt before Amelia!!! This left Ifia utterly perplexed, especially the peculiar title. Great Sovereign? What in the world was that supposed to mean? She only knew Grand Duchess... Ifia stealthily hid behind a tree, her breathing becoming unconsciously slow, to avoid being discovered. Even though Amelia was just ahead, watching her cold expression, Ifia inexplicably dared not speak up. This was not the usual gentle Amelia. It felt as if a beautiful dream was about to shatter. This made Ifia's black eyes reflect a hint of grievance, even though she knew she should leave soon. But her feet seemed to be rooted in place, unable to move a step. "Act as the situation demands. Once exposed, you know what to do." "At your command! Your Highness, rest assured, if the church's people find out that the exorcism has failed, I will 'commit suicide directly. With Count Durer dead, those foolish humans will think the demon has been vanquished along with him." Baron Amelia didn't say much, but Count Durer kept on talking. This irritated her purple eyes, not wanting any further entanglement. Without delay, she used her magic to grasp Count Durer mid-air, causing him to let out a piercing cry. She then calmly spoke, "Just focus on your task." After speaking, she flung the dark magic away. Even though he fell from a great height, Count Durer was not hurt. The previous cries of agony seemed to have never occurred, making him nod and agree repeatedly, having just been struck by the dark magic. This caused him to grow demonic horns from his head, appearing bizarrely half-human, half-demon. Behind the tree, Ifia, who silently observed this scene, could no longer contain herself. Her eyes turned red. At this point, the truth became clear. Amelia was not human. Ifia felt like she was a deceived little piglet. She hadn't noticed the wolf in sheep's clothing lurking around her and foolishly approached it. Now that she knew the truth, thinking back to when she first met Amelia, even though Amelia had claimed the drug addiction of a deceased person back then, it now seemed like an utterly implausible reason!!! It was Amelia who had killed the person! And she had naively believed it. Even fawned over her for a moment. For the second time, when she saw Amelia at the Puris Academy, she felt it was fate brought by the heavens. Perhaps it was all part of Amelia's deliberate plan. That included getting her admitted to the Art Society, an organization that was hard to enter, whether one was a noble or a commoner, which was also part of Amelia's scheme. Gradually getting to know Amelia, she had intruded into every corner of Ifia's life. She was living within a conspiracy!!! Amelia, the big liar!!!! Ifia sullenly banged her head against the tree, exerting quite a bit of force, resulting in a reddened forehead and a piercing ache that cleared her mind. She could continue analyzing the situation. Although Amelia's deliberate approach to her might have had malicious intentions, the little moments and care they shared didn't seem fake. Even though Ifia knew she wasn't very clever, she could see Amelia's feelings for her. If you were to reverse the logic... Perhaps Amelia initially saw her as a toy or pet, waiting to be discarded. But then, her feelings changed midway. Her fondness turned into love! But how could that be possible? Amelia was a demon. Could a demon truly fall in love with a human? For a moment, Ifia's thoughts became a tangled mess, causing a headache. She could only bang her head against the tree again. Hoping to fight fire with fire, to alleviate the headache. However, when Ifia banged her head against the tree again, perhaps her voice was a bit louder, causing the dense rose fragrance to no longer conceal her presence, and the two demons present immediately noticed the commotion. In an instant, "Count Durer' stopped fawning and instead turned his expression viciously. Staring directly at the tree where Ifia was hiding. "Hehe, stumbling upon a lost dessert after a meal, how fortunate! I can feast to my heart's content!" 'Count Durer' said, licking his lips greedily and exhibiting a longing in his eyes that had turned red. However, instead of directly attacking, he reached out and severed another hand. Then he threw the severed limb toward the tree. The next moment, the human arm transformed into a ferocious black insect with sharp fangs, and with a snap, it quickly bit through the not-so-small tree trunk. After the trunk fell, the hidden person was revealed. Demons enjoyed toying with and killing their prey, so 'Count Durer' did not immediately kill the person, but instead intended to play with and then consume them. Baron Amelia, standing by, looked on coldly, not restraining her underlings, as the human was unimportant. If they were to be consumed, so be it. As soon as the trunk split, Baron Amelia, after seeing the black hair hidden behind the tree, was taken aback. This was followed by anger and panic, alternating back and forth. Even her indifferent face could no longer hold up, and an unprecedented look of fear appeared. 'Count Durer' continued to command the black insect, cutting off the person's limbs and then kicking them over like a ball, and as his words fell into Amelia's ears, she angrily waved her hand. A dark prison domain opened up, directly pulling 'Count Durer' into it, making him one of many dead souls. The black insect was crushed by magic. So, at this moment, only Baron Amelia and Ifia remained. And a broken tree... "Ifia, you..." Even though the person hiding behind the tree lowered their head and didn't speak, their familiar hairstyle and attire left no doubt—it was Ifia! But the strong scent of roses enveloping her made her unrecognizable. Although Amelia had thought about revealing her true self before, but not right now, especially after that scene just now, which probably exposed her true nature. Ifia was a bit dim-witted, but only in trivial matters. Once things got serious, after forced consideration, she could always grasp the key to the situation. And Amelia realized that she couldn't hide it anymore. So, she quickly walked over to Ifia, wanting to explain and reassure her, asking her not to be afraid. However, before Amelia could approach, Ifia immediately raised her head. She looked at Amelia fiercely and said coldly, "Don't come near me!"
